“When I went to college for graphic design and advertising, the Web as we know it now did not exist. I feel very fortunate to have participated in the Indianapolis website design industry right from its infancy. There were no web design classes or instructors; everything we were doing was new and pioneering. The community has certainly evolved and there are a lot of top-notch companies coming to fruition in the Indianapolis area. My goal with BoxCrush is to continue to produce high-quality websites that elevate our clients’ brand identities and help establish and grow their success in the marketplace. I firmly believe that our clients’ successes are integrally linked to ours.”
Dan Finney began producing websites in 1997 (about 800 B.C. in Internet “dog years.”) He incorporated as Dan Finney Design, Inc. in April of 2002, a company that grew to become BoxCrush® in recent years.
Box Crush has evolved into a website development and design company that services international companies in a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, real estate development, technical consulting firms, healthcare providers, warehousing, global not-for-profits, television stations, IT, automotive and others. With such high-profile clients as Kiwanis, Monsanto, General Motors, Ronald McDonald House, and USRowing, Dan has led BoxCrush in developing unique approaches to each project that help set his clients apart from their competition.
Dan’s strengths lie in his ability to translate a company’s brand identity into visually interesting, easily navigable, user-friendly websites—each one unique to the company it represents. Dan oversees all aspects of operations at BoxCrush and has the uncanny ability to interact with clients as a strong Geek-to-English translator. The growth BoxCrush has experienced in recent years is largely due to Dan’s capabilities in management, creative direction, and client representation.
Dan is a Geek, no getting around that—but he’s a well-rounded Geek. In addition to geeky stuff, Dan is a husband, the father of two beautiful daughters, and a middle squeezer. He loves building things for his kids, playing PlayStation 3, doing DIY projects around the house, scouring iTunes for obscure Irish punk rock songs, and scrounging for free TV on Hulu.
